Amy & Alex's Elopement

On a crisp fall day, Amy and Alex arrived at Elkin Creek Vineyard and Winery in North Carolina.

Amy's daughter intricately fastened the ribbons on her beautiful wedding dress.

Baby's breath wove through her braid. She looked like the princess from Tangled.

Alex and Amy's son put on the final touches, as they stood by the altar.

The arbor stands where two rivers flow together and become one. Just as Amy and Alex were preparing to do.

Amy and Alex spoke from their hearts as their shared vows which they wrote themselves.

Amy and Alex got excited to try on the rings, for the first time!

As if it was meant to be, the rings fit!

Amy and Alex chose to elope on 11/11 because of the spiritual meaning behind the numbers. "11:11 is the universe’s way of urging us to pay attention to our heart, our soul and our inner intuition. It’s serving as a wake-up call to us so that opportunities are not missed in this lifetime." - The Elephant Journal

Amy and Alex shared their intimate elopement with Amy's children. They shared a peaceful afternoon in the serene wilderness as they walked barefoot through the sand, celebrating their marriage.

Amy and Alex,

Thank you for inviting me to witness and capture the joining together of two beautiful souls. It was my honor to preserve this memory for you. I hope you enjoy these photos for many years to come.

~ Alisha
