Pooja and I met at a coffee shop in Winston-Salem. Over an iced chai, she told me all about her twin boys Rex and Jay who were about to turn one year old!
She was creating a Carnival Themed birthday party for her kids. The venue was the Big Red Barn in Tanglewood (Clemmons, North Carolina). Perfect for a kids party with lots of guests!
She told me she would like mostly candid photos with a few posed portraits when anyone requested, plus a few posed portraits after the cake cutting. This blog will include mostly the candid photos. She received an online gallery with more edited photos.
I arrived at Tanglewood in Clemmons and saw Pooja's birthday party vision come to life!
The cake was created by Cakes by Fara.
A giant bounce castle from Now it's Party Time, basketball game, corn hole and other games were set up which the guests enjoyed thoroughly.
The concessions are from Bouncing Bonanza.
I walked through the party and anticipated when a great candid moment was about to happen, like these kids having fun in the bounce castle!

Kate's Face Paint Creations was at work creating beautiful art for everyone to wear for the day.
Rex and Jay had a decorated wagon which they rode around in like kings. Whenever they got a little cranky, they would take a ride in the wagon and be happy! BRILLIANT idea!!! I'm going to recommend this idea to my mom's now.
It started to drizzle a little bit just around cake cutting time. Perfect timing! Everyone moved inside to where the cakes were ready!
The rain eased up and everyone went outside to play. We took some posed family portraits and a few guided candids.
