When Anna and Devin told me they were having their second child, I was SO excited. I had a flash back to Theo's newborn photoshoot, their first baby!
Since you never know when newborns will arrive, we signed the contract beforehand and agreed to set the date after Jackson arrived.
About a week later, I got this e-mail from Devin:
"Baby Jackson was born Thursday at 6pm. We were discharged today. I know it's last minute, but do you by chance have any availability tomorrow?"
When I got there, Anna's Mom and sister were helping her feed the baby, do her hair, and watch their toddler Theo. It was so sweet to watch her supportive village coming to her aid.
I LOVE seeing my photos framed in a home!
This photo is from their maternity photoshoot in downtown Winston-Salem on Artivity on the Green.
The attention to decor detail in their home makes it feel so cozy, you won't want to leave.
It was fun to see how the nursery has transformed to make room for baby Jackson.
Theodore had a little bit of a hard time not being the baby anymore.
He also just hit his head by accident right before we started taking photos. Thankfully, it was no problem to edit out. Poor baby!
But also, the rawness of the struggles of childhood is also precious to capture.
Mama assured him that he's still her baby.
Baby Jackson was a bit overwhelmed by his energetic brother. Keep on eye on his face in these next few photos. They crack me up.
Love the blurry arms of Dad chasing after his toddler. That's parenthood.
